Floriography began with a connection to the land — growing, gathering, and working directly with flowers in New Mexico.
What started at farmers markets has grown into a design-led studio creating immersive events and environments across the Southwest and beyond.
That origin still shapes everything we do.

Floriography is led by Emily James — designer, creative director, and fourth-generation New Mexican with deep roots in the land and the industry.
Her path began in the dirt — growing flowers, selling at markets, and building relationships with local farms long before sustainability became a trend.
Over the past decade, she has led the design and execution of over 1,000 events across multiple states, building a studio known for its point of view, creative leadership, and ability to bring big ideas to life.
She is known for her energy, her intuition, and her ability to make the process feel clear, collaborative, and genuinely fun.
